Welcome to the launch of Taste of Jamaica’s website and blog.
This is also my very first blog post.
My name is Donna Gardner and I am very excited to share with you and let you experience more of what Jamaica has to offer around food, culture and travel! I wanted to start by telling you why this website was created and what you will be seeing more of in my posts going forward. But please do bear with me. I’m not a blogger or even a writer. But I’m going to give it my best to take you on this journey with me.
As you’ve read, I launched Taste of Jamaica Mobile Cuisine early in 2019 with the help of a few wonderful sidekicks. The requests and inquiries for more of our Jamaican food have given us the impetus to change course and offer our customers a full-on experience of the Jamaican Culture and Vibes. We aspire to do so by offering the Taste of Jamaica experience to our customers in the Greater Toronto Area. For those traveling to the “Crown Jewel of the Caribbean” we have partnered with local travel agents and guides to provide you with the ultimate Jamaican experience you can imagine. This includes partnering with Jamaican local street food vendors coupled with tourism “hip strips” throughout the island to complete your Jamaican foodie, culture and lifestyle vacation experience. To our Canadian locals, we offer a full event catering and personal chef experience. Feast your pallet on our showstopper pan jerked chicken and pan jerked pork. “It literally tastes just like the jerk pork in Jamaica”, says one of our customers.
“It literally tastes just like the jerk pork in Jamaica” - A very satisfied customer
What you can expect to see more of in my posts… The Jamaican Experience will obviously be the main topic of my blog, but get ready as you will be seeing a mixture of apparel for travel, culture, street food vendors, historical places, off the beat places and hidden treasures including my favorite fashion finds, products, and other local Jamaican adventures. It will be a little bit of everything, and a lot that I love. I’m so excited to share Jamaica with you. The Jamaica I know and love.
I hope to inspire all of you to come and experience the Jamaican food, culture, vibes and all that Jamaican has to offer through travel. We hope this website inspires you and as it inspires you, it also encourages you to visit my beautiful homeland and learn more. With love & positive vibes, Donna
